TERMS AND CONDITIONS
ABOUT US

McQuless Maintenance (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides property maintenance services, including boiler installations, heating repairs, boiler servicing, landlord gas safety checks, plumbing, and electrical works, to homeowners, landlords, and letting agents.
We act as a service provider and may arrange for works to be carried out by suitably qualified and insured contractors or members of our team.
QUOTATIONS AND PRICING
All quotations are provided based on the information available at the time. Prices may be subject to change if the scope of work varies, additional work is required, or unforeseen issues arise once works commence.
Unless stated otherwise, quotations are valid for 30 days.
Any additional or varied works will be quoted separately and must be approved prior to proceeding.
BOOKING AND ACCEPTANCE
By accepting a quotation, requesting works, or allowing works to proceed, you confirm acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings where access is not provided, safety concerns arise, or incorrect or incomplete information has been supplied.

PAYMENTS
​
A 50% booking deposit is required to secure all bookings unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Residential Clients (Homeowners):
The remaining balance is due upon completion of the works.
Commercial Clients (Letting Agents / Businesses):
The remaining balance is payable within 7 days of the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Deposits are non-refundable once works have been scheduled, except where cancellation is made with reasonable notice.
Failure to make payment may result in delays, withheld certification, suspension of services, or recovery action.
Late commercial payments may be subject to statutory interest and recovery costs in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

ACCEPTANCE OF WORKS
Works are deemed accepted upon completion and/or occupation of the property unless any issues are reported in writing within 48 hours of completion.
This does not affect your right to report genuine defects within a reasonable period.

TITLE TO GOODS
Ownership of any materials supplied remains with McQuless Maintenance until full payment has been received.
ACCESS AND DELAYS
The client is responsible for providing safe, clear, and reasonable access to the property at the agreed time.
We shall not be liable for delays caused by:

Restricted or unsafe access

Third-party delays
-
Supplier shortages
-
Weather conditions
-
Unforeseen property conditions

USE OF CONTRACTORS
​
Where applicable, works may be carried out by independent, qualified, and insured contractors arranged by McQuless Maintenance.
All contractors are required to hold relevant qualifications and comply with applicable UK regulations. Responsibility for workmanship warranties remains with the party carrying out the work.
GAS, ELECTRICAL AND COMPLIANCE WORK
All gas work will be carried out by **Gas Safe registered engineers**.
All electrical work will be completed in accordance with current UK regulations.
Compliance documentation (including Gas Safety Certificates, EICRs, or EPCs) will be issued where applicable and once payment obligations have been met.
LIABILITY
We take reasonable care to ensure works are completed to a satisfactory standard. We shall not be liable for:

Pre-existing faults or defects

Issues arising from materials supplied by the client

Indirect or consequential losses

Damage caused by hidden or unforeseeable property conditions
Our total liability is limited to the value of the works carried out.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations must be made with reasonable notice.
Late cancellations or aborted visits may incur a call-out charge.
Emergency call-outs are non-refundable once attended.

COMPLAINTS
​
Any concerns must be raised **as soon as reasonably possible** after works are completed. We will aim to resolve issues fairly and promptly.

CONSUMER RIGHTS
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
PRIVACY
We handle personal information in accordance with our **Privacy Policy**, which is available on our website.
GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of **England and Wales**.
